The Adventurous Journey during Covid: There are a few options for you to do your practice and qualifying AJ during Covid
- Doing the practice and qualifying journey with family is possible. Check out this guide to get started.
- Deferring the Journey until your Silver level during covid: Participants can continue to Silver without completing their Bronze AJ; and then be awarded their Bronze Award once their Silver practice AJ is completed. The Bronze qualifier can be deferred for participants who are committed to continuing to the Silver level. These participants can move on to do all of their Silver Award activities. At a later date, the participant’s Silver Practice AJ will be used to count as their Bronze qualifier. Once this is complete, the participant will be awarded their Bronze. It is specifically intended for use where participants want to continue to the next level, but the Operator / Award Centre does not have the capacity to run additional Bronze and Silver AJs later on without limiting impact on new entrants. This change is applicable only at Bronze level; and only for those who are continuing to Silver level.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Point Grey Mini School and its staff are not responsible for activities undertaken in pursuit of the Duke of Edinburgh Award that are not school-sanctioned and approved field study.
